Photography — Nisrin Yama

This project explores how we remember places, not through precise images, but through the emotions they leave behind. As an exchange student in Germany, I found myself drawn to a strange familiarity in places I'd never seen before, as if memory and imagination were quietly merging. A nearby garden became more than a place, a space where memory and reality blur.

Working with both digital clarity and pinhole softness, I'm not comparing methods but inviting reflection: What am I really seeing, and how does it make me feel? I'm not just recording what I see, I'm trying to express what the moment feels like.
